Goldner Stern in Muggendorf

Hotel is quite cosy and the breakfast is pretty good. Unfortunately the tenant's wife of the hotel is absolutely unfriendly. As tourists, me and my friend wanted to go fishing for a day and their hotel offer a packager of 1 day flyfishing + 1 night at the hotel. Of course we took the night at the hotel especially to fish the next day. The next day we asked when we could go fishing, and she asked for our german permit, which we didn't have obviously. So she basically ignored on purpose that we were tourists, and didn't inform us about the fishing licence, so we paid a night for nothing. For the rest of the staff, they are all very kind.

Nice staff, good food, fair prices

Good food, nice staff, nice to sit outside. Limited vegetarian options.

Clean and spacious rooms. Beautiful town and a nice panorama. A HUGE wellness center (usage included in room-price) with a swimming pool (roughly 20 sq meters) 2 saunas, relaxing area, 2 massage rooms and a whirlpool.

We had a wonderful two days stay in the hotel. The rooms are very spacious and clean, same goes for the bathroom with a bath tube that has water jets. Staff was very friendly and the food we had for breakfast and dinner was great as well. The town is quite and the area around wonderful. Happy to come again any time.

I arrived at 10pm. Restaurant was closed. Bar open till midnight. The room is absolutely average. Nothing special. A hotel is invaded with lots of small flies or insects. No way to open the window with lights on at night. A huge minus. Breakfast is ok. Parking is available on the street and free at night. Paid between 7-18.

Great food and the servers and nice. A bit pricy but worth it
